Dear friends,
Crinella winery is offering an exciting new wine experience this summer, designed to provide another dimension to your appreciation with the art and lore of winemaking. Great wine begins in the vineyard and so we will begin the day in our vineyard at the crack of 11:00 am. We will first discuss the terroir of the Russian River Valley.
You will next experience first-hand the processes involved in grape-growing
(viticulture), participating in activities such as assessment of moisture levels, canopy management, and crop-thinning. You will then start pruning to get a feel for the vines.
Then, we will adjourn to the highly acclaimed Mosaic Restaurant, located across the road from Crinella Estate Vineyard for a sit down tasting of our award winning wines, accompanied by the imaginative wine-food pairings of Chef Tai

For wine and food enthusiasts, this program will enable you to understand more fully the relationship between geology, vineyard management, the production of fine wines, and innovative approaches to the requisite culinary accompaniments to fine wines.
Crinella's Vineyard Liaison, Skip Swenson, will be supervising your vineyard experience and will be discussing viticultural practices during your tasting. Chef
Oletsky will explain the wine and food pairings, and either Dr. Frank Crinella or I will be present to describe the process of winemaking and the special characteristics of Crinella wines.
You can next have a leisurely late no-host lunch at Mosaic, where you will see many of the famous local vintners or go back into the vineyard with Skip and continue working with the vines.
We will take groups of up to eight persons for the half-day experience, and promise that you will have an enlightening and enjoyable time . We will also be offering special wine discounts. Cost: $10.00 per person refundable with your
wine purchase.
