Sonoma Roasted Fruit
After a filling meal, a combination of roasted fruits is a perfect end. This is a dessert that everyone loves even small children and picky eaters.

4 large oranges
1 ripe pineapple
2 pink grapefruit
3 bananas
2 pears
2 lemons
1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
1/2 teaspoon fresh thyme
1/4 cup honey
1/4 cup brown sugar
  • Squeeze lemons.
  • Peel bananas and pears and cut into slices and place in lemon juice so that each piece is covered.
  • Peel oranges and grapefruit removing all white pith and cut into bite sized section.
  • Cut pineapple into bite sized pieces.
  • Arrange fruit in attractive rows on a baking dish that can be used to serve in.
  • Sprinkle fruit, brown sugar, thyme, cinnamon, honey.
  • A few drops of Marsala won't hurt either.
  • Place in a 350 oven and bake for about 30 minutes basting a few times.
  • Place the fruit under the broiler for the last two or three minutes, taking care not to burn it.
