New Potatoes and Green Beans with Pesto
We ate this dish quite often as a main course, accompanied by nothing more than bread, butter and a glass of white wine.

12 small (about 3" diameter) new potatoes, quartered
1 pound, Italian green beans, but into 3" to 4" segments
1/2 cup, pesto sauce
1/2 cup, fresh parsley, finely chopped
1/2 cup, freshly grated parmesan cheese
1 teaspoon, fresh ground pepper
1 teaspoon, salt
2 quarts, water
  • Steam potatoes and beans until tender.
  • Remove to mixing bowl, add pesto, parsley, pepper and salt to taste.
  • Sprinkle with grated cheese when served.

    Serves 4.

    Enjoy with our 2005 Sauvignon Blanc.
