Pears in Cream
This is a tasty, simple holiday dessert with far less calories than mince pie or brandy pudding.

6 pears
1 lemon, cut in half
3/4 cup sugar
2 tablespoons butter
1 cup whipping cream
cooking spray
Drops of Grand Marnier or pear brandy such as Pecstes (optional)
  • Preheat oven to 475 degrees. Peel the pears, core and slice into halves.
  • Rub with lemon.
  • Spray a dish with cooking spray, arrange the pears and sprinkle with the sugar and a few drops of the brandy or liquor if you are using it. Dot with the butter.
  • Bake for about 15 minutes or until the sugar turns brown.
  • Pour the cream over the pears and bake for another 2 or 3 minutes. Serve.

    Enjoy with our 2005 Glissando.
