Preheat oven to 475 degrees. Peel the pears, core and slice into
halves.
Rub with lemon.
Spray a dish with cooking spray, arrange the pears and sprinkle with
the sugar and a few
drops of the brandy or liquor if you are using it. Dot with the butter.
Bake
for about 15 minutes or until the sugar turns brown.
Pour the cream
over the pears
and bake for another 2 or 3 minutes. Serve.
